ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

REVISED MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSIONS INTO COLLEGES OF EDUCATION IN GHANA
SSCE Holders:
i. Six(6) Passes (A-D) in all subjects, including English Language and ​Mathematics; and
ii. At least three (3) of the passes must be relevant to the area of specialization.
WASSCE Holders:
i. Six (6) Passes (A1-C6) in all subjects, including English Language and Mathematics; and
ii. A minimum of C6 in any three (3) of the passes relevant to the area of specialization
By this review, the requirement for access course for SSSCE/WASSCE holders who could not obtain credit passes (A-D / A1 – C6) respectively in core English Language and Core Mathematics, as previously required is abolished.
The NCTE/NAB will monitor the effects of implementation of the reviewed minimum requirements to inform future decisions.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES
Abetifi Presbyterian College of Education runs the Four-Year Bachelor of Education in Basic Education Programme in Primary and Junior High School (JHS). The Bachelor of Education in Basic Education for the Colleges of Education in Ghana is an eight (8) semester programme.
